Located in the Canadian province of Alberta, Banff National Park was established in 1885 and was the first national park in Canada, the second in North America and the third designated park worldwide. Peyto Lake is a mountain lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. It can be reached via the Icefields Parkway. The lake is fed by glaciers and is depicted in many picture books about Canada due to its striking turquoise color. This coloration of the water is caused by fine rock particles, which are also known as rock flour or glacial flour, which get into the lake with the melt water.
Sunwapta Falls is a waterfall on the Sunwapta River in Jasper National Park in the Canadian province of Alberta. It is located about 55 km south of Jasper.
Jasper National Park was founded in 1907 and, with its 10.878 km², is a national national park in the Rocky Mountains. The national park was developed by UNESCO in 1984, together with Banff National Park, Kootenay National Park and Yoho National Park as part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks. The park differs from an IUCN Category II protected area. Jasper Hawes claims that the park is a base for the North West Company.

The Whistler-Blackcomb ski area has been part of the Vail Resorts, a ski resort operator from the USA, since August 2016.
