Uzungöl

Uzungöl is a lake in Çaykara County of Trabzon Province in Turkey. The name of the village on the coast of the lake is also Uzungöl. The lake is located 99 km from Trabzon and 19 km from downtown Çaykara. It was created by a landslide that turned the creek bed into a damming lake in the valley of the Haldizen creek. The lake, located between high mountains, attracts numerous tourists, so hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops have opened.


Anıtkabir

Anıtkabir is the name of the mausoleum of the Turkish state founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. It is a national monument and a museum at the same time.

Hagia Sophia


Hagia Sophia is a former Byzantine church built between 532 and 537 AD. This was used as a mosque from 1453 to 1935 - and has been used again since 2020. From 1935 to 2020 it served as a museum. Hagia Sophia is located in Eminönü, a district in the European part of Istanbul.

The Eyüp Sultan Mosque is located in the Eyüp district of Istanbul at the northern end of the Golden Horn.


Sultan Ahmed Mosque

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul was commissioned by Sultan Ahmed I in 1609 and was built by Sinan's disciple Mehmet Ağa until 1616, a year before the Sultan's death, and is a major work of Ottoman architecture. After the secularization of Hagia Sophia, which is barely 500 meters away, it was Istanbul's main mosque until July 2020, and Hagia Sophia has been the city's main mosque again since July 24, 2020.

Topkapı-Palast


The Topkapı Palace in Istanbul was the residence and seat of government of the sultans as well as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire for centuries. Construction began soon after Sultan Mehmed II conquered Constantinople. First he had a palace built on what is now Beyazıtplatz. A little later, however, he decided on a second project elsewhere.

The Dolmabahçe Palace is a palace in Istanbul built between 1843 and 1856 under the direction of the architect Balian for the Sultan Abdülmecid. It is located on the European bank of the Bosphorus in the Beşiktaş district and was the residence of the sultans from 1856.
