General Informations:Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. Covering an area of 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) and with a population of 9.4 million, Belarus is the thirteenth-largest and the twentieth-most populous country in Europe. The country is administratively divided into seven regions. Minsk is the capital and largest city.


Temperature: July and August bring the highest temperatures and less rainfall, making them the ideal months to travel to Belarus, climate-wise.

Castle Mir


Mir Castle is a 16th century castle on the territory of Belarus near the city of Mir. The castle has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. With its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements, it is an example of magnate architecture from the time of Polish-Lithuanian rule. Five brick towers shape the image of the castle.

Victory place

Victory Square is a square in the Belarusian capital Minsk. Until it was renamed in 1954, the Siegesplatz was still called Runder Platz. In the same year, an obelisk with a height of 40 meters was erected on the square to commemorate the fallen of the Great Patriotic War.



Nyasvish Castle

Njasvisch Castle is a residential castle of the Radziwiłł family in Njasvisch, Belarus. It is at an altitude of 183 meters. The castle was on Polish territory until the 2nd partition of Poland in 1793 and from 1921 to 1939 and was considered one of the most beautiful Polish castles in the Kresy region. In 2005 the castle complex was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Naratsch

The Naratsch is the largest lake in Belarus and a place of the same name on its shore in the north of the country in the Minskaya Woblasz. In March 1916, the battle of Lake Naratsch took place here.

The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Symeon and Saint Helena - also known as the Red Church - in the Belarusian capital Minsk is a neo-Romanesque red brick church. It is located in the center of the city in the immediate vicinity of Independence Square and is one of the most photographed buildings in the city and therefore one of its landmarks.

Gorki Park


Gorky Park is a public city park in the Belarusian capital Minsk. It is located near Victory Square and Janka Kupala Park. In 1800 the park was opened under the name "Governor's Garden". During the Soviet era it was named after the famous Russian or Soviet writer Maxim Gorky. In many cities of the Soviet Union, parks were set up with his name.
