Triton fountain

The Triton Fountain is a fountain that stands in the Maltese capital Valletta on the Triton Fountain Square not far from the City Gate.


Comino


Comino, from the Maltese word Kemmuna, is the smallest inhabited island in the Maltese archipelago. It belongs to the municipality of Għajnsielem in the southeast of Gozo. The island is heard from the ferry ports in Għajnsielem on Gozo and Ċirkewwa on Malta.

St. John's Co-Cathedral

St. John's Co-Cathedral is the co-cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Malta in Valletta. It is known as the Co-Cathedral because it serves as the second seat of the Archbishop of Malta next to St. Paul's Cathedral in Mdina.


Azure Window

The Azure Window was a rock gate created by environmental influences in the west of the Maltese island of Gozo on the coast in front of the village of San Lawrenz. It was about 100 meters long and 20 meters high. On March 8, 2017, the rock gate collapsed completely during a storm.


Blue Lagune

The Blue Lagoon is a bay formed by the Maltese islands of Comino and Cominotto and some rocks. These islands are located between the main island of Malta and its neighboring island of Gozo. Every year around 20,000 tourists visit the lagoon, which is one of the main tourist attractions of the archipelago. In summer, small ferries, ships and express boats run regularly to this popular swimming spot.

Ħaġar Qim


Ħaġar Qim is one of the five great Maltese temple complexes and is located, together with the nearby temple of Mnajdra, south of Qrendi on a high plateau above the Mediterranean Sea.


Blue grotto


The Blue Grotto is a cave in Malta. It is located in the southwest of the island near Żurrieq and can only be reached by sea. From Wied iż-Żurrieq, a fjord-like bay, which can be reached via Żurrieq, tourist boats first drive along the steep coast for a while when the sea is calm, before entering several grottos. The cave system consists of six halls, of which the Blue Grotto is the largest and most impressive.


Ġgantija


The Ġgantija temples on the island of Gozo in the Malta archipelago are among the oldest detached buildings in the world that are still halfway intact. They were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980. In 1992 this status was granted to five other temples. They form the World Heritage Site of the Megalithic Temples of Malta and have been included in the National Inventory of the Cultural Assets of the Maltese Islands.

Grand Harbour


The natural harbor Grand Harbor is a branched bay that cuts more than three kilometers deep into the northeast coast of the island of Malta. On its north side is the island's capital Valletta. On the east and south sides are the shipyards around the cities of Floriana, Senglea and Paola, which were badly damaged in the Second World War. The Grand Harbor already served as an anchorage for the Phoenicians, Punis, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs and Spaniards.

The Mnajdra is an outstanding ensemble of temples from Malta's prehistoric times. It consists of the double temple with the maple leaf-shaped, five-part structure typical of large Maltese temples and a separate older, therefore only three-part temple. The temples were included in the National Inventory of Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands and have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.

Located near the town of Dingli, the Dingli Cliffs rise up to 253 meters above the Mediterranean Sea by the mountain or the Ta ’Dmejrek elevation. On the southwest coast of the island of Malta, the rock face drops steeply in many places, but nowhere as high as on the Dingli Cliffs.
