Muckross House

Muckross House was a stately home and castle-like mansion and is located south of the Irish city of Killarney. It has been the heart of the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park since 1932. This in turn is part of the 10,000 hectare Killarney National Park.

The Ring of Kerry is a 179.0 km scenic coastal road in County Kerry in southwest Ireland. Buses and trucks are only allowed to enter the ring in one direction on Irish National Road 70 due to the narrowness of the roads. The N70 leads around the Iveragh Peninsula either close to the coast or directly along the coast from Kenmare via Waterville to Killorglin; then inland via Killarney and back to Kenmare. A hiking version of this road is the Kerry Way long-distance hiking trail.

The Guinness Storehouse is a museum in the Irish capital Dublin about the 250 year old history of Guinness beer. The fermentation process, during which the yeast is added to the beer brew, was originally carried out in the building that is now the museum. The building was constructed in the style of the Chicago School of Architecture and was completed in 1904.

Killarney National Park is located in County Kerry in the southwest of the Republic of Ireland on the Iveragh Peninsula. The over 100 km² national park borders the city of Killarney and includes the three lakes Lough Leane, Muckross Lake and Upper Lake, which together make up an area of 22 km² of the park. One of the oldest of the remaining oak forests in Ireland can be found here. In addition to the oaks, yew trees, mosses, lichens and ferns also grow lush in the park.

Kylemore Abbey is Ireland's oldest Benedictine abbey. Founded in 1665, after several moves since 1920, the monastery is housed in Kylemore Castle in Connemara, County Galway, completed in 1871.

Dublin Castle is located on Dame Street in the middle of the old town. There was a fortress on the site of the castle as early as the 10th century. It was conquered by the Normans in 1170 and expanded in 1204–1230. The Record Tower from 1226 has been preserved to this day. Most of the buildings currently in existence date from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Rock of Cashel, near the town of Cashel, about 20 km north of Cahir in County Tipperary in Ireland, is a unique monument to Irish history. The mountain rises 65 m high and is considered an Irish landmark. As the seat of fairies and spirits, it was venerated in ancient times. In the 4th century the clan of the Eoghanachta, the later MacCarthys, conquered the rock and expanded it into a clan seat. This was of strategic importance due to its elevated location, which promised a good overview of the surrounding country.

Phoenix Park is a large park 3 km northwest of Dublin city center and the green lung of the city. With an area of 707 hectares and an enclosing wall 11 km in length, the park is one of the largest inner-city parks in the world. Often referred to as the largest inner-city park in Europe, Sutton Park near Birmingham and Richmond Park in London are larger. The name Phoenix Park does not go back to the legendary phoenix, but is a falsification of the Irish word fionn uisce, which means "clear water".

Ross Castle is a castle complex in Ireland. It is not far from Killarney on a peninsula on the east bank of Lough Leane, the largest of the three lakes in Killarney National Park, and was the ancestral home of the O'Donoghue clan. Ross Castle is furnished with furniture and fixtures from the 16th and 17th centuries and is a popular destination for tourists.

Kilkenny Castle is a castle in Kilkenny, the capital of the county of the same name in the Republic of Ireland. Kilkenny Castle was built from 1195 to 1213 to control a ford through the River Nore and several trade routes. The facilities with originally four strong corner towers and the partially preserved moat were a central part of the city's defenses and are a symbol of the presence of the Normans in Ireland.

Torc Waterfall is a waterfall at the foot of Torc Mountain, approximately 8.0 km from Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland. The waterfall is located in the middle of Killarney National Park and is one of the attractions of the 200 km Kerry Way hiking route and the Ring of Kerry. With easy access and nearby parking, the Torc Waterfall is a popular attraction with hikers and tour bus groups. There are signposted circular hiking trails of various lengths and degrees of difficulty around the waterfall, one of which leads over the top of Torc Mountain.

The Aillwee Cave is a show cave about 30 kilometers south of Galway not far from Ballyvaughan on the west side of Ireland in the karst of the Burren area of County Clare. The cave was discovered by chance in 1940 by the Irish farmer Jacko McGann. His initials can still be found here and there in the cave.
